As a Wound Nurse/Infection Control professional, you will play a crucial role in our commitment to providing exceptional patient care and ensuring the highest quality of life for our residents. Our state-of-the-art facility in Stamford, CT is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Wound Nurse/Infection Control to oversee our wound care and infection control programs.
Aboutthe Role
In this dynamic and challenging position, you will work in conjunction with our Director of Nursing Services to supervise Nursing Supervisors and oversee the activity of Nursing Services related to wound care and infection control. Your primary responsibility will be to develop plans of care for each resident with current pressure sores or who are at high risk for developing pressure sores.
Additionally, you will coordinate and perform physician-ordered patient wound care, following our established wound care guidelines.
- Develop and implement comprehensive plans of care for residents with pressure sores or at high risk of developing pressure sores
- Supervise Nursing Supervisors and oversee the activity of Nursing Services related to wound care and infection control
- Coordinate and perform physician-ordered patient wound care, following established wound care guidelines
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure effective care delivery
- Conduct wound care rounds and assess resident wound status
- Develop and maintain accurate records of resident wound care treatment
- BACHELORS' degree in Nursing (BSN) or related field
- 1+ years of experience in wound care and infection control with wound care certification
- Valid RN licensure in the state of Connecticut
- Strong communication and leadership skills
