Full time.
Shift: 12 Hour Night Shift.
At Saint Francis Hospital, the Surgical Cardiology unit provides comprehensive care to patients with a wide range of cardiovascular conditions, including dysrhythmias, atherosclerotic disease, and complex surgical interventions such as CABG, valve replacements, and TAVR procedures. The unit also supports patients recovering from thoracic, vascular, and select general surgical procedures.
Responsibilities- Collaborate with a strong, interdisciplinary team comprised of RNs, LPNs, PA/APRNs, Cardiothoracic Surgeons, and Hospitalists, with support from ancillary staff and further consultants.
- Monitor, record, and respond to patients’ clinical status.
- Assist with preoperative and postoperative care for cardiovascular and thoracic surgical patients.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans, employing strategies to promote health and safe environments.
- Participate in quality improvement activities and integrate research findings into practice.
- Graduate of an accredited college or university affiliated nursing program.
- Current Licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in Connecticut.
- BLS (AHA/ARC) required; ACLS required within the first year of employment.
- BSN preferred.
- Previous acute care experience in Medical-Surgical, Telemetry, or Cardiology settings preferred.
- Full-time position (36 hours per week).
- Night Shift.
- Every other Weekend/Holiday.
- Hourly position, included in the RN Step Program pay range: $36.15 to $59.95.
