Position: Saff RN Non-Invasive Cardiology, Part Time 22.5-hours

Job Description

Stamford Health is looking for a Part Time STAFF RN for the Non‑Invasive Cardiology Team! The role is a 22.5‑hour part‑time position, Monday‑Friday, with no weekends or holidays. This position supports high quality, person‑centered care for cardiac testing patients in a collaborative and respectful environment.

Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver patient care using the Nursing Process and following all established standards of practice within State and Federal guidelines.
  • Assist with cardiac stress testing.
  • Provide pre‑ and post‑procedure nursing care for TEE (Transesophageal Echocardiogram) and Cardioversion patients.
  • Care for inpatient and outpatient cardiology patients with a focus on safety, education, and outcomes.
  • Accurately obtain and interpret 12‑lead EKGs.
  • Monitor patients for hemodynamic stability and respond appropriately to changes.
  • Educate patients and families on heart health, disease prevention, and health maintenance.
  • Collaborate closely with physicians, advanced practice providers, technologists, and interdisciplinary care team to deliver person‑centered care.
  • Coordinate schedule with cardiology, anesthesia and various specialties for both inpatient and outpatient populations.
  • Provide support to non‑RN personnel.
Qualifications
  • Valid license as Registered Nurse in the state of Connecticut.
  • ASN from an accredited School of Nursing required. BSN preferred; candidates with a plan to pursue BSN or BSN in progress will be considered.
  • BLS and ACLS certification required.
  • Minimum of one‑year nursing experience required.
  • Cardiology experience strongly preferred (Non‑Invasive, Critical Care, Telemetry, or Cath Lab experience a plus).
