In Stamford, Spartech manufactures acrylic sheets that are used in the aerospace as well as in security (bullet-resistance), displays, acrylic furniture and laser protection amongst other applications. Our products can be seen in many airplanes, fighter jet canopies, helicopters, in the banks for protection at the teller windows, tanning beds, etc.. We have a unique process that utilizes technology, as well as the skills and knowledge of our employees, to make quality products.

The Lab Technician is responsible for performing quality control testing and inspection of raw materials and finished products in an Acrylic manufacturing facility. This role supports production operations by ensuring materials and products meet internal specifications and customer requirements.

Essential Job Duties

  • Operate laboratory testing equipment and computerized/electronic devices used in quality control and technical services.
  • Perform routine calibration of laboratory instruments following documented procedures.
  • Conduct inspections and testing on in-process and finished products.
  • Record, analyze, and report test data with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Follow all documented testing and inspection procedures to ensure consistent product evaluation.
  • Provide timely feedback to Quality Management regarding product quality issues or trends.
  • Maintain compliance with all Safety, Health, and Environmental guidelines.
  • Follow company operating procedures, policies, and benefit rules.
  • Keep the laboratory and work area clean, organized, and audit-ready.
  • Perform calibration processes on equipment.
  • Knowledge of Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) preferred.
