Gartner Analysts are industry thought leaders who create must‑have insights and market predictions for world‑leading organizations. A VP in Gartner’s Business and Technology Insights (BTI) group leads research and engages with clients through meetings, conferences, and sales support, providing actionable recommendations that drive business outcomes.

• Create innovative, thought‑provoking “must‑have insights” content.
• Develop new insights and actionable approaches to accelerate client outcomes.
• Conduct in‑depth analyses to identify root causes of client barriers and reframe thinking to drive strategy.
• Demonstrate thought leadership across a team of analysts.
• Provide provocative insights to Gartner leaders to evolve research agendas.
• Research, analyze, and predict market trends and shifts to deliver actionable insights.
• Offer clients actionable advice aligned to designated content areas via virtual or face‑to‑face interactions.
• Create and present high‑value materials for Gartner events, conferences, and client briefings.
• Support BTI and Sales by serving as the market voice to drive engagement and progress on client priorities.
• Provide timely high‑quality content peer review.
• Build credibility as an industry expert to represent Gartner insights, methodology, and strategy.
• Actively participate in innovation, ideation, and research discussions and collaborate effectively with peers.
• Identify research process improvements or develop new processes for the team and BTI.
• Mentor and coach junior team members.
• Maintain a client‑centric approach by engaging clients regularly with Gartner insights.

• Bachelor’s degree (equivalent experience) or graduate degree preferred.
• 15+ years of relevant field or industry experience.
• Deep knowledge of the Services market and a focus on at least one of the following:
  • Next‑generation or intelligent business operations/process services
  • Digital business consulting services
  • The evolving role of software, assets, and platforms in services delivery
  • The impact of AI on the Services market
  • Commercial changes in the Services industry
• Ability to advise on commercial changes and present at large and small‑scale engagements.
• Demonstrated executive presence and credibility with executives and stakeholders.
• Strong organizational skills, able to work under tight deadlines and produce high‑quality deliverables.
• Excellent research and writing skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication, analytical, and presentation skills.
• Proficient in analyzing and synthesizing data and applying frameworks to defend conclusions.
• Clear communication of complex concepts in a concise and simple manner.
• Business and financial acumen.
• Deep knowledge of the global and competitive landscape within the subject area.
• Self‑directed yet collaborative in a multicultural, global team environment.
• Agile learning and adeptness in navigating highly matrixed environments.
• Ability to represent Gartner’s research methodology and strategies at all levels.
• Willingness and ability to travel up to 25% (where applicable).
