Marriott Stamford - Stamford, CT 06901. Salary: $115,000 - $125,000 per year. Position:
Senior Sales Manager.

Build rapport with clients, qualify needs, sell hotel accommodations, book business and groups, secure contracts and ensure midweek and weekend business bookings.

• Understand market conditions, competitors, and economic trends.
• Close opportunities for Stamford Marriott Hotel & Spa in line with market and business needs.
• Identify prospective accounts through market research and consistently meet or exceed sales goals.
• Conduct regular competition analysis and provide internal feedback.
• Arrange and conduct customer sales presentations and sales calls weekly.
• Develop strategies for increasing market share and collaborate with Marriott Global Sales.
• Negotiate room rates, function space and meeting room rental within approved guidelines.
• Follow personal sales action plans and update regularly.
• Build relationships and partnerships with innovative strategies.
• Forecast and contribute to hotel pricing strategies.
• Collaborate with DOS & M, management team, and sales team to identify revenue issues and execute strategies.
• Communicate actions, record activities, and hold sales team members accountable.

• Strong leadership skills and excellent written and oral communication.
• Professional demeanor and positive attitude.
• Proficiency with reactive and proactive sales processes.
• Experience with complex business decisions and contract knowledge.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration.
• Minimum 3-4 years of sales achievements in a 250+ room 4-5 star hotel.
