Overview

As a Security Officer Downtown Residences in Stamford, CT, this part‑time role provides reliable, consistent hours on a fixed shift with the flexibility to increase earnings by picking up additional shifts.

Pay Rate: $18.00 / Hour

Job Schedule: Saturday 04:00 PM – 08:00 PM

• Fixed‑Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six‑month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites.

• Provide customer service to residents, guests, and/or vendors by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, and document relevant details in accordance with site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the residential location, including common areas, parking areas, entrances, exits, and perimeter points, to deter unwanted activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access to the property by observing arrivals and departures, verifying authorization when appropriate, and reporting suspicious activity, policy violations, and/or maintenance concerns to the appropriate contact.
• Support a professional presence at the location by communicating clearly with residents and management, following post orders, and completing assigned reports, logs, and/or incident documentation.

• Possess at least 1 year of security‑related experience.
• A state, county, or city issued security‑related license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
