Senior Field Service Technician

Job Description:

• Delivering high-quality technical support and service to our customers.
• Performing installations, maintenance, and repairs on equipment, ensuring optimal performance and customer satisfaction.
• Ensuring safety and compliance by following all ABB HSE, ABB Way, Safety Manual, and product warranty policies while maintaining up-to-date knowledge of relevant safety standards and procedures.
• Performing hands‑on project work—including startup, commissioning, troubleshooting, design, and repair—across power delivery equipment while continually developing technical and industry knowledge.
• Contributing to improving installation and field service standards, adhering to engineering procedures, and delivering exceptional customer satisfaction in all interactions.
• Completing required technical reports, job status updates, material orders, quotations, time and expense reports, and exercising sound judgment in controlling costs and maintaining company assets.

• High School Diploma with a minimum of 8 years of engineering / field experience.
• Additional formal education may substitute for required experience on a year‑for‑year basis.
• Technical skills in testing of power distribution and delivery to include Low Voltage and Medium Voltage Breakers, Switchgear, Relays and Transformers.
• Experience in the repair and refurbishment of LV and MV circuit breakers.
• Ability and willingness to travel approximately 70+% as required.
• Ability and willingness to possess and maintain a valid driver's license.
• Candidates must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.
