** --Utility Maintenance Mechanic

** Essential

Duties & Responsibilities *
* + Reports to Supervisor or assigned trades worker

+ Completes service request in a timely manner

+  Performs electrical maintenance tasks such as changing light bulbs

+ Repairs restroom fixtures and other minor plumbing duties

+ Performs minor building equipment preventive maintenance

+ Repairs sheet rock and spackles

+ Spot paints common areas such as lobbies, freight elevator lobbies, restrooms, etc.

+ Replaces ceiling tiles and other basic carpentry task

+ Maintains cleanliness in and around all Building Operations Services facilities also shops, boiler room, chiller room, electrical room, mechanical rooms, etc.

+ Paints equipment rooms and machinery

+ Receives deliveries for projects, controls moving & delivery crew's use of elevators

+ Driving skills with up to 1-1/2-ton truck.

+ Overtime and shift work maybe required

+ Perform any additional duties on an as required basis where such duties are within the scope of contractual obligations.

+ Safely use all types of related hand and power tools

** Qualifications*
* + High school diploma

+ Three years building maintenance experience.

+ Strength and dexterity to perform physically demanding duties as outlined.

+ Valid driver's license as required to drive any vehicles which may be assigned.

+ Knowledge of safe work practices and procedures typical of maintenance operations. Ability to safely wear a respirator, climb ladders, enter confined spaces, lift heavy objects and perform other physically demanding tasks
