Electrical Foreman

Electrician

We are seeking a skilled Electrician to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems in commercial, industrial, and/or residential settings throughout Connecticut. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC), Connecticut electrical regulations, and a strong commitment to safety and quality workmanship.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, fixtures, equipment, and control systems.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, drawings, and specifications.
• Install and connect electrical panels, breakers, transformers, lighting systems, and electrical devices.
• Troubleshoot electrical issues and perform diagnostic testing to identify and resolve problems.
• Pull wire, bend conduit (EMT, PVC, and rigid), and terminate electrical systems.
• Test electrical systems and components using appropriate testing equipment.
• Ensure all work complies with state and local codes, OSHA standards, and company safety policies.
• Maintain accurate records of work completed, materials used, and service reports.
• Collaborate with project managers, contractors, inspectors, and other trades on job sites.
• Participate in safety meetings and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Respond to emergency repairs and service calls as required.

Qualifications:

• Connecticut E-1 (Unlimited Electrical Contractor) or E-2 (Unlimited Electrical Journeyperson) license preferred.
• Apprentices working toward licensure may also be considered.
• Minimum of 2 years of electrical experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and electrical safety procedures.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical diagrams and blueprints.
• Experience with commercial, industrial, or residential electrical systems.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

Skills and Abilities:

• Proficient in the use of hand tools, power tools, and electrical testing equipment.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple assignments.
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, and climb for extended periods.
• Comfortable working on ladders, lifts, scaffolding, and elevated platforms.
• Ability to work in confined spaces and varying environmental conditions.
• Ability to perform repetitive movements associated with electrical installation and maintenance.

Work Environment:

• Indoor and outdoor construction and service environments.
• Exposure to electrical currents, construction equipment, noise, and varying weather conditions.
• Overtime, weekend work, and occasional travel may be required depending on project needs.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Stamford, CT.

Pay and Benefits:

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $35.00/hr eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
