Software Engineer Stamford

Yuma invests in, builds, and scales infrastructure in the Bittensor ecosystem. Within Bittensor we are among the largest decentralized AI infrastructure providers, operate the largest investment fund, partner with large exchanges to provide asset services, and invest in and incubate other growing companies. We were founded in late 2024 and are continuously growing our business lines and product offerings.

We’re looking for a Software Engineer to join our engineering team ’ll help design and scale the core systems that underpin our decentralized AI infrastructure and related products — from high-performance data pipelines to API services.

Location:

Stamford, CT
In office: 3 days / week

• Design, implement, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams — including data, product, and infrastructure — to deliver high-quality features and systems.
• Ensure software reliability through automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, and observability best practices.
• Deploy and manage services in cloud environments
• Optimize system performance, scalability, and maintainability.
• Participate in code reviews, contribute to technical discussions, and help evolve our engineering culture and practices.
• Support deployment, monitoring, and troubleshooting of live systems

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience
• 3–8 years of professional experience as a backend engineer.
• Solid understanding of APIs, databases, and backend architecture.
• Experience deploying, monitoring, and scaling applications in cloud environments (GCP, AWS, or Azure).
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools and automated testing frameworks.
• Understanding of containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Working knowledge of relational and/or No
  
  SQL databases.
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.

• Familiarity with blockchain or decentralized technologies, Polkadot, Parity, Substrate preferred)
• Experience with AI/ML integrations or data-intensive systems
• Exposure to containerization/orchestration tools such as Docker or Kubernetes
• Prior experience in a startup or early-stage company
