Role Purpose

  • Ensure efficient, timely, and compliant movement of goods across the transportation network, optimizing transportation costs while improving service quality.
  • Provide cross‑functional analytical support for supply chain, finance, and customer service: generate and maintain logistics metrics, reports, and supply chain projects to create value.
  • Maintain effective communication and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, demonstrating the ability to adapt, balance multiple responsibilities, and sustain process flows.
Responsibilities
  • Coordinate the Beiersdorf transportation network to ensure seamless supply to and from the North America region: plan, coordinate, troubleshoot, and monitor shipments (domestic, import, export) to meet customer and business requirements.
  • Coordinate transportation and customs services: inbound/outbound freight management, strategic transportation analysis, compliance, claims, freight and customs payments, FBA operations, import/export services (including FDA holds monitoring), and deviation handling.
  • Ensure all transportation and customs documents and data are accurate and submitted on time, enabling seamless operations, especially erage trade programs such as CUSMA and CTPAT.
  • Support the annual transportation tender process for imports across road, rail, sea, and air freight.
  • Maintain relationships with carriers and other Beiersdorf regions/countries to ensure optimal service.
  • Address tactical issues on an exception basis and coordinate monthly KPI meetings with stakeholders.
  • Represent the Transportation Department (with or on behalf of the Manager) in cross‑functional projects as needed.
  • Develop, maintain, and report on transportation metrics, KPIs, costs, and carrier scorecards, including on‑time delivery and cost improvement programs.
  • Collect and analyze transportation and customs data to identify trends, opportunities, and actionable insights.
  • Maintain workflows to ensure Beiersdorf Inc. certifications (CTPAT and CUSMA) remain active and compliant.
  • Responsible for monthly global reporting with the North American team (e.g., RCM, CO₂).
Qualifications
  • 3+ years in international logistics or supply chain; multiple modes of transportation.
  • Analytical, self‑driven, and data‑oriented; capable of managing multiple priorities while proactively following assigned tasks and delivering on commitments.
  • Knowledge of import/export procedures and local transport regulations (including creating necessary documentation such as commercial invoices).
  • Experience dealing with FDA, U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service and customs holds; familiarity with CTPAT and CUSMA.
  • On‑call support for urgent delivery issues outside standard working hours (e.g., weekends).
