Job DescriptionAs a Security Guard Patrol Specialist in Stanford, CA
, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed officer at an educational location where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence that deters incidents, and support students, staff, and visitors with strong communication and customer service.
Position Type: Full Time
Pay Rate: $25.96 / Hour
Job Schedule: Night shift, 11:30 PM - 08:00 AM, Monday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday.
What You’ll Do:
- Provide customer service by carrying out assigned security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities within an educational campus environment.
- Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and critical situations calmly, communicating with campus contacts and Allied Universal leadership as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout campus buildings, common areas, parking locations, and perimeter spaces to deter unauthorized activity and identify concerns for follow‑up.
- Monitor access points and report suspicious behavior, maintenance issues, and policy violations per site expectations.
- Document incidents, observations, and daily activities in required reports while maintaining a courteous environment for students, staff, and visitors.
Minimum Requirements:
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
- Allied Universal considers qualified applications with criminal histories consistently with applicable laws.
- Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.
