Facilities Maintenance Technician
Join a world-renowned hospital in Palo Alto as a Facilities Maintenance Technician working Tuesday through Saturday from 6 AM to 2:30 PM. We are seeking a versatile individual with MEP experience to support a school building. This role requires a jack of all trades, with skills in plumbing, pump maintenance, compressors, and sinks. While no specific BMS experience is needed, familiarity with electronic work orders and iPad use is essential.
Experience with Maximo is beneficial but not required.
Assist in the installation and maintenance of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and other building equipment and systems.
Support the installation and maintenance of building utility systems.
Maintain parts and equipment inventory.
Repair building interiors, including doors, walls, and furnishings.
Perform tasks independently that require less expertise, involving inspection, operation, maintenance, and repair of equipment and systems.
Respond to all service calls.
Keep accurate and legible records, including timecards, work requests, material slips, logbook entries, charts, and record sheets.
Handle hazardous materials and associated waste, including replacing batteries in faucets and burned-out fluorescent lamps.
High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
Two years of progressively responsible and directly related work experience.
Ability to adapt to change and ambiguity.
Proficiency in operating standard tools, instruments, and equipment.
Skills in planning, organizing, prioritizing, and working independently.
Problem-solving abilities and identifying solutions.
Effective communication in English, both spoken and written.
Competence in working in a fast-paced environment and collaborating with all levels of the organization.
Knowledge of computer systems and software relevant to the functional area.
Familiarity with local, state, and federal regulatory requirements.
Familiarity with iPad operation for email, calendar, and work orders.
Experience with hand tools and multimeters.
HVAC filter changing and minor plumbing skills are advantageous.

This is a Contract position based out of Stanford, CA.
The pay range for this position is $38.15 - $41.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
