We are hiring an LVN Charge Nurse to join our Elmwood Care Center!

• Render nursing care to community members within an assigned unit.
• Observe and report symptoms and conditions of residents.
• Take and record temperatures, respiration and pulse.
• Administer medications and IVs prescribed by physician and record any reactions.
• Set up treatment trays, prepare instruments and other equipment, accompany and assist physician with treatments.
• Assist in administering highly specialized therapy with complicated equipment.
• Maintain records reflecting community member’s condition, medication, and treatments.
• Assume responsibility for proper care of complicated apparatus used in treating community members.
• Supervise the feeding of community members.
• Maintain a working knowledge of resident’s condition at all times.
• Review reports from previous shifts to determine changes in status of residents and assign duties to nursing personnel.
• Responsible for notifying Director of Nursing Services (DON) and/or Administrator of changes in patient condition or other job‑related problems.

Full Time PM Shift | 3:00pm-11:00pm

• 2 or more years of experience in long‑term care or related field preferred
• Requires strong abilities in generating oral and written instruction
• Ability to keep a mature composure in stressful situations and be able to deal effectively with the demands of the position
• Remain flexible to meet the changing needs of the facility, its staff, and operations
