Company Description Bean Excavation is a heavy civil company based out of Star, Idaho. We provide services in Mass Grading, Concrete prep and Asphalt prep. We also build ponds for aggregate sourcing and aesthetics to drainage and storm water management.
Role Description The Crew Foreman is a full-time, on-site role based in Star, , responsible for leading and coordinating daily field operations. This role oversees crew members, assigns tasks, and monitors work progress to ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, and in accordance with specifications. The Crew Foreman operates and directs the use of heavy equipment, ensures proper setup and shutdown procedures, and supports preventive maintenance activities.
Daily responsibilities include communicating work plans and safety expectations, inspecting job sites for hazards, resolving operational issues, and reporting project status to supervisors or project managers. The role also involves training crew members on proper methods, enforcing company policies and safety standards, and collaborating with other teams and contractors as needed.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong supervisory skills, including crew leadership, task delegation, and performance oversight.
- Candidates should possess experience with heavy equipment operation and basic equipment troubleshooting in an excavation or construction environment.
- Candidates should possess effective communication skills for coordinating crews, reporting issues, and interacting with project stakeholders.
- Candidates should possess knowledge of preventive maintenance practices to support equipment reliability and job site readiness.
- Candidates should possess familiarity with basic GPS machine control or related field skills to support safe equipment and site setup.
- Relevant additional qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, prior foreman or lead experience in construction or excavation, and a valid driver’s license.
- Beneficial qualifications include OSHA or other safety certifications, the ability to read and interpret plans or drawings, and a strong commitment to safe work practices and physical fitness for field work.
