Position Function:
In the Department of Facilities Management, the Construction Administrator for Work Management provides oversight of project scopes, budgets, contracts, designs, bids, construction compliance with codes and contracts, and day‑to‑day operational and tactical aspects associated with projects involving renovations, alterations and/or in‑house projects.
ResponsibilitiesSupervisory Responsibility:
This position does not have supervisory responsibility.
- Level I – Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture, Building Science, Engineering, Construction Project Administration or related field plus 2 years of experience in Management of commercial construction projects and/or processes as a contractor, design professional, owner’s representative, etc.
- Level II – Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture, Building Science, Engineering, Construction Project Administration or related field plus 4 years of experience in Management of commercial construction projects and/or processes as a contractor, design professional, owner’s representative, etc.
- Level III – Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture, Building Science, Engineering, Construction Project Administration or related field plus 6 years of experience in Management of commercial construction projects and/or processes as a contractor, design professional, owner’s representative, etc.
- Senior – Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture, Building Science, Engineering, Construction Project Administration or related field plus 8 years of experience in Management of commercial construction projects and/or processes as a contractor, design professional, owner’s representative, etc.
Substitutions: When a candidate has the required experience, but lacks the required education, they may normally apply additional experience toward the education requirement at a rate of one (1) year of relevant experience per year of required education. Indicated experience is required, no substitution allowed.
