Overview
The Center for Computational Sciences (CCS) at Mississippi State University will be hosting a summer REU (Research Experiences for Undergraduates) program during May 26 - July 31, 2026 sponsored by the National Science Foundation.
This program is aimed at involving undergraduate students in materials-related research under the supervision of faculty mentors at the CCS.
Mentors and DisciplinesFaculty mentors come from a variety of disciplines, including Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Engineering.
EligibilityParticipants must be undergraduates who have not yet received a bachelor's degree, and must be US citizens or permanent residents.
ExpectationsThe participants are expected to devote their time fully to this summer research program, and they should not simultaneously be engaged in any other academic coursework or jobs during the program.
