The growing Applied Behavior Analysis Program at Mississippi State University seeks applicants to join our full-time faculty members as an Assistant Teaching Professor, beginning fall 2026.This position will involve teaching and program support through our Department of Counseling, Higher Education Leadership, Educational Psychology and Foundations. Primary responsibilities will include undergraduate and graduate teaching, practicum and research supervision. The program is based on the scientist-practitioner model with strong emphasis on training in the utilization of empirically based applied behavior analytic assessment, intervention, and consultation methods.
Students in the program obtain Master's Degree in Education with a concentration in Applied Behavior Analysis.
Salary Grade: UC

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
This position will involve teaching and program support through our Department of Counseling, Higher Education Leadership, Educational Psychology and Foundations. Primary responsibilities will include undergraduate and graduate teaching, practicum and research supervision. The program is based on the scientist-practitioner model with strong emphasis on training in the utilization of empirically based applied behavior analytic assessment, intervention, and consultation methods. Students in the program obtain Master's Degree in Education with a concentration in Applied Behavior Analysis.
Minimum Qualifications:
Doctorate in applied behavior analysis or psychology with an emphasis in applied behavior analysis or a closely related field, demonstration of potential of excellence in teaching and service. ABDs will be considered if the degree will be completed by August 15, 2026.
Preferred Qualifications:
Doctoral degree from an accredited applied behavior analysis program or psychology program (if psychology program: approved by NASP and/or accredited by APA);
Eligible for licensure as a behavior analyst in Mississippi;
Eligible for BCBA-D certification;
Theoretical orientation consistent with applied behavior analysis or behavioral psychology;
Record of, or potential for excellence in teaching of behavior analytic courses for diverse student population in university settings;
Record of, or potential for excellence in service to the department, university and professional organizations;
At least two years of experience working with individual with Autism Spectrum and Related Disorders in the clinical, school, or hospital setting.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills. Strong organizational skills, the ability to create instructional materials, and a strong commitment to student development and success.

Work takes place in a traditional office environment.
