SpecificJob Responsibilities
- Provide on‑site technical assistance to teachers and administrators in the area of mathematics.
- Provide professional development based on individual school and teacher needs, particularly in relation to the frameworks/benchmarks and district instructional goals. Focus on in‑class and one‑on‑one assistance as much as possible. Keep records of teacher support using district provided curriculum support document.
- Assist in the development and coordination of district professional development for individuals and groups.
- Provide faculty with copies of the MS CCR Standards and related curriculum materials.
- Assist in determining curriculum resources.
- Plan instruction with grade‑level teams and with individuals.
- Monitor, provide feedback, and support for teachers on instructional delivery and effective use of instructional materials.
- Analyze data to determine student achievement goals and design appropriate staff development.
- Serve as a member of the school leadership team.
- Serve on district‑level committees.
- Have extensive knowledge of the Multi‑Tiered System of Support and the Response to Intervention Process.
- Report regularly and punctually to assigned work location and notify supervisor or designee of impending absence in a timely manner.
- Assist with establishing summer school and summer bridge guidelines for instruction, grading, or record keeping. Provide training for teachers and assist with program material development and preparation.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the superintendent or his designee.
- Valid Mississippi teaching license.
- Minimum of three (3) years of professional classroom experience.
- Outstanding performance as a classroom teacher.
- Exemplary written and verbal skills.
- Master’s Degree in School Administration or National Board Certification.
- Strong leadership skills.
- Peer observation, coaching, mentoring and conferencing skills.
- At least 3 years of relevant experience preferred.
- Master degree preferred.
- Citizenship, residency or work visa required.
