Job Description

The Site Supervisor will coordinate all components of th 21st Century Community Learning Centers (21st CCLC) program, including enrichment, behavioral support, academics, and physical activities designed to promote growth and development. This position requires approximately 10 hours per week, scheduled after the regular school day, according to the program schedule. Additional hours may be required occasionally for mandatory meetings and trainings.

JOB

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Collaborate with the director of 21st CCLC grant to plan yearly programming.
  • Coordinate teacher and student recruitment for his/her school site in conjunction with school administration.
  • Oversee student registration for programming.
  • Create and communicate staffing schedules including teachers, volunteers, and community partners.
  • Monitor the safety and supervision of student participants.
  • Work with the director of 21st CCLC grant to create schedules and rotations that meet the requirements of 21st CCLC.
  • Communicate and coordinate with Child Nutrition staff for snack needs.
  • Communicate and coordinate with the Transportation Department when necessary.
  • Maintain accurate attendance records.
  • Complete Cayen (online platform) requirements daily and weekly.
  • Monitor and communicate supply needs to the administrative assistant of the Discovery Center
  • Monitor the use of 21st CCLC technology and inventory.
  • Work with school administration and staff to gather required academic and behavioral documentation for students participating in the program.
  • Communicate with parents and families of students participating in the program.
  • Conduct parent/family conferences with participants when needed.
  • Plan and schedule family engagement nights.
  • Communicate with school site staff about students attending the program to determine student academic and behavioral needs.
  • Maintain confidentiality.
  • Maintain all required 21st CCLC documentation and evidence of programming.
  • Ensure that accurate timesheets and time and effort logs are submitted by each staff member on the designated dates and submit to the district program coordinator in a timely manner.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the director of 21st CCLC that relate to the successful implementation of the program goals and objectives.
Professionalism
  • Reports regularly and punctually to assigned work location and notify supervisor or designee of impending absence in a timely manner.
  • Maintains professional licensure.
  • Maintains accurate time & effort reports.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree in education
  • Must possess a valid Mississippi license
  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Strong leadership, organizational, communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING ENVIRONMENT

Environment:
Standard school settings; exposure to potentially stressful environments; regularly perform inside and/or outside with potential for exposure to adverse environmental conditions.

Physical:
Sufficient ability to move equipment up to 25 pounds; remain in a stationary position at least 50% of the time; move occasionally within the office/building to access documents and office machinery.

Vision:
See in the normal visual range with or without correction; vision sufficient to read computer screens and printed documents.

Hearing:
Hear in the normal audio range with or without correction; the noise level in the work environment is moderate.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
  • Knowledge of Starkville Oktibbeha Consolidated School District policies and procedures.
  • Ability to orally and verbally communicate with others to exchange information.
  • Ability to plan, establish priorities, and implement activities for maximum effectiveness with minimum direct supervision.
  • Ability to work with diverse groups including students of all ages as well as parents, staff,and community members.
  • Possess high-level of critical thinking skills.
