Mississippi State University is hiring an Athletic Academic Tutor (Intermittent Worker) to support student-athletes’ academic progress within Athletic Academic Support Services. Tutors work one-on-one or in small groups helping students organize, study, and retain course material, with assignments typically running a full semester at a time.
Highlights- Helps student-athletes organize subject material for their coursework
- Guides students through studying material using methods suited to the individual
- Runs practice and quiz sessions with students to reinforce retention
- Requires a high school diploma and at least junior-level standing at Mississippi State University
- Prefers candidates who have earned most of their credit hours at Mississippi State University
- Values prior tutoring or teaching experience, though it is not required
- Limited to no more than 720 hours of work per fiscal year as an Intermittent position
- Sessions are held at the Templeton Athletic Academic Center
