ASSUREd Safe Training Manager

Mississippi State University is hiring a ASSUREd Safe Training Manager to lead instructor development and curriculum oversight for a national program that trains first responders to operate uncrewed aircraft systems (UAS). The role owns training logistics and instructional delivery end to end, working with subject matter experts and steering committee members to keep course content aligned with current UAS standards.

• Trains and evaluates instructors, conducting audits and site visits to observe course delivery
• Runs an annual instructor convocation and builds a dedicated "Fundamentals of Instruction" course
• Partners with the Instructional Systems Designer to keep course materials accurate and up to date
• Works with subject matter experts to fold real-world UAS use cases and TTPs into training content
• Coordinates training venues, including mobile sites, and verifies airspace authorizations like COAs and waivers
• Manages logistics for training kits and equipment, including firmware updates and airframe airworthiness checks
• Maintains records and reports on course evaluations and outcomes
• Requires a bachelor's degree in Emergency Management, Aviation, Public Administration, Education, Engineering, or a related field plus 6 years of relevant experience
• Master's degree and knowledge of federal grant compliance preferred
• Involves regular travel for training audits, site visits, and course delivery support
