This position provides client support to individuals and entities seeking services from the Autism & Developmental Disabilities Clinic (ADDC) and associated clinics, and provides administrative support to their clinicians and students.
Responsibilities- Answers phones, collects client information to determine service(s) needed, and routes to appropriate service provider(s) or wait list(s).
- Sends client intake paperwork, reviews for accuracy and completion, sends and receives requests for client information to/from third parties, creates client files, and verifies insurance coverage.
- Schedules appointments based upon established criteria, makes schedule adjustments if needed, and notifies service providers of client arrival.
- Assists in explaining medical charges, making collections, and updating client accounts.
- May support psychological or applied behavioral analysis clinicians in session if needed.
- Liaises with outside entities (school districts, state agencies, etc.) seeking services from the Center, including initiating standard contracts, obtaining pre-authorizations, and sending invoices.
- Fulfills outside requests for coordinated care with other providers.
- Manages clinical materials, protocols, and ordering information.
- Completes HIPAA compliance checks.
- Manages grant related data for clinical services and provides database support as needed.
- Participates in insurance pre-authorization and related duties for timeliness of clinical services.
- All other duties as assigned.
Education:
High school diploma
Experience (yrs.): 4 years Directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
Any equivalent combination of education and experience as approved by Human Resources Management.
Preferred Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree.
- Experience with individuals with disabilities or client coordination.
- Experience with appointment scheduling and/or medical records background.
- Customer service experience.
- Experience with computers.
- Ability to multi-task.
Ability to see information in print and/or electronically.
