As a Software Engineering Manager within PNC’s Lending Technology organization, you will be based either in Pittsburgh, PA, Strongsville, OH, or Dallas, TX.
Job SummarySeeking an experienced Software QEDM to lead the planning, coordination, and execution of quality assurance and testing initiatives across multiple strategic software delivery projects. The ideal candidate will combine a deep understanding of software quality practices with strong leadership and project delivery skills. The candidate will be responsible for managing QE teams aligning with development and product teams, ensuring quality gates are met and driving the delivery of high-quality software products on time and within scope.
Key Responsibilities- QE Leadership
- Adhere to Quality Engineering strategies and best practices
- Manage QE Leads and teams across projects to ensure consistent, high quality software delivery
- Champion automation, continuous testing and shift-left testing methodologies
- Project & Delivery Management
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders (Product, Development, Dev-ops, etc.) to define test plans and delivery schedules.
- Track QE deliverables, KPI’s and defect metrics, report progress to Executives and leaders
- Identify and mitigate delivery risks related to quality and testing timelines.
- Ensure the accuracy and completeness of testing documentation as part of Change Management processes, collaborating with QE and project teams to support successful implementation and compliance with the standards.
- Team & Resource Management
- Hire, mentor and coach QE professionals to build high-performing, motivated teams
- Allocate resources effectively across concurrent projects
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, learning, and innovation.
- Process optimization
- Drive improvements in test automation frameworks, CI/CD integration, and release process (Test Artifact reviews)
- Ensure compliance with internal QA standards and external regulatory requirements where applicable.
- Stakeholder Communication
- Be the primary point of contact for quality engineering within delivery teams
- Provide clear, concise communication to executives and stakeholders regarding testing outcomes, risks, and mitigation strategies.

Job Description- Manages development projects, development teams and application support functions.
- Oversees multiple application programming and analysis projects which include development, installation and maintenance of application programs.
- Monitors and maintains adherence and compliance to quality standards on an ongoing basis.
- Maximizes staff contribution through professional growth and development, to increase teamwork and more effectively meet business needs.
- Analyzes applications to ensure that all systems that are developed, meet business needs and specifications.
