To perform duties necessary for the routine cleaning and upkeep of academic, office, and residential guest house-style buildings.
Responsibilities- Sweep, dust mop, wet mop and scrub floors.
- Clean windows, mirrors, walls, doors and other building surfaces.
- Clean, wax, and buff floors.
- Clean building and residential guest house restroom facilities and replenish supplies.
- Collect trash and empty in trash collector containers.
- Move furniture, equipment, supplies and other materials as requested.
- Dust and polish furniture.
- Report repair needs.
- May change light bulbs and spray rooms for pests.
- May vacuum and carpets.
- May perform routine residential or guest housing domestic cleaning, such as kitchen, bedroom, and bathroom detail, daily laundering services, bed linen changes, and the stocking of toiletries.
- May assist with pre- and post-event related support and cleaning in buildings and guest housing.
- Perform related duties as assigned.
- Ability to read and write.
- Experience must include at least 2 years at the preceding level or equivalent.
- Some reading & writing.
- Experience in custodial care maintenance.

- Any equivalent combination of related experience and/or education approved by the Department of Human Resources Management.
Duties and tasks are standardized. Follows detailed instructions and procedures. May work under limited supervision and prioritize tasks independently.
Working Conditions and Physical EffortRegularly involves lifting, bending or other physical exertion. Often exposed to one or more elements such as heat, cold, noise, dust, dirt, chemicals, etc. Occasional-routine deadlines; usually sufficient lead time; variance in work volume seasonal and predictable; priorities can be anticipated; some interruptions are present; travel or other inconveniences have advance notice; involves occasional exposure to demands and pressures from persons other than immediate supervisor.
Job frequently requires standing, walking, reaching, climbing or balancing, talking, hearing, handling objects with hands, and lifting up to 25 pounds. Job occasionally requires sitting, stooping/kneeling/crouching/crawling, and lifting more than 100 pounds. Vision requirements:
