Kemco Facilities Services is seeking a skilled and versatile General Field Service Technician to service the Starkville market and surrounding areas.

This is a multi-trade position ideal for an experienced technician who is comfortable handling a variety of commercial service calls. The successful candidate will have experience in plumbing, electrical, general construction, and commercial handyman repairs. Experience with laminate counter top installation and repair is a plus.

Our technicians work independently in the field, troubleshoot problems, communicate directly with customers, and complete repairs safely and professionally.

• Commercial Repairs & Maintenance:
  Diagnose, repair, and maintain plumbing, electrical, carpentry, general construction, and other facility components.

• Multi-Trade Service:
  Complete a variety of commercial handyman and facility repair assignments.

• Troubleshooting:
  Identify the cause of equipment, plumbing, electrical, and structural issues and develop effective repair solutions.

• Preventive Maintenance:
  Perform scheduled maintenance and inspections to help prevent equipment and facility failures.

• Customer Service:
  Communicate professionally with customers regarding service needs, repairs, recommendations, and job status.

• Safety & Compliance:
  Follow company safety procedures and applicable industry standards while performing all work.

• Documentation:
  Accurately document work performed, materials used, and job completion information and submit service reports promptly.

• Inventory Management:
  Maintain company-issued tools, equipment, vehicle inventory, and commonly used repair materials.

• Quality Control:
  Ensure repairs are completed correctly, professionally, and with minimal disruption to the customer's operations.

• Training & Development:
  Continue developing technical knowledge across multiple trades and stay current with industry best practices.

• Education:
  
  High school diploma or GED required. Technical or vocational training in a skilled trade is preferred.

• Experience:
  
  2–5 years of experience in commercial maintenance, plumbing, electrical, general construction, facility services, or related trades.

• Multi-Trade Ability:
  Candidates should be comfortable completing service work across multiple trades rather than specializing in only one area.

  Skills:
  
  Strong troubleshooting ability and working knowledge of plumbing, electrical systems, carpentry, and general construction.

• Counter top
  
  Experience:
  
  Experience installing or repairing laminate countertops is preferred but not required.

• Certifications:
  
  Relevant trade certifications are a plus.

• Driver's License:
  Valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record in accordance with company policy.

• Background Screening:
  Must successfully complete a satisfactory background screening.
