Job Title
The Bryce Jordan Center of The Pennsylvania State University is seeking candidates for Part Time Administrative Support Assistants.
Job Description and Position Requirements
The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:
- Greet customers, provide information and refer as appropriate.
- Screen and process routine telephone communications, mail and requests.
- Schedule and maintain calendar of appointments, meetings, travel itineraries, etc.
- Coordinate travel arrangements, make reservations, and process reimbursements.
- Maintain files and databases; assemble and format data to create simple reports.
- Prepare documents, meeting materials, correspondence.
- Update and make routine changes to web pages.
- Maintain confidential and sensitive information and materials.
- Record and distribute meeting minutes.
- Compose and edit written communication.
- Maintain inventory and order/purchase office supplies; arrange for equipment maintenance; process work orders for facilities repairs/needs.
- Onboarding Partner - Coordinate onboarding sessions for all part-time new hires - process all paperwork in accordance with U.S. Policies and PSU procedures and create BJC badges.
- Maintain records and files on all employees. Create employee reports for department supervisors. Assist with wage terminations, rate increases, and job additions.
The hours on this position vary greatly from week to week and can range from 0 to 20.
This position typically requires a High School diploma or higher plus 1 year of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
