Overview
Job Title: Earthwork Foreman
Employment Type: Full-Time
Location: State College, Pennsylvania
Hiring Organization: Leonard S. Fiore, Inc.
Salary Range: $28.00-$36.00 per hour (DOE)

The ideal candidate is a hands-on field leader with strong earthwork and civil experience who takes ownership of safety, quality, and crew performance while delivering work to the highest standards.
- Complete and direct daily earthwork operations such as excavation, grading, backfill, compaction, and others.
- Supervise and coordinate earthwork and commercial construction activities.
- Verify grades, elevations, and layout before and during work.
- Perform material take-offs and assist with production planning.
- Coordinate crews, equipment, and materials to maintain workflow.
- Order equipment and materials as needed.
- Assist with scheduling and provide progress reporting.
- Track time, equipment usage, and production quantities.
- Ensure work is completed in accordance with project plans and specifications.
- Travel to local and out-of-town projects as needed.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Minimum of 5 years of earthwork and commercial construction experience
- Current OSHA 30-hour certification
- Can safely lift up to 60 pounds, climb ladders, stairs, and climb out of ditches
- Must wear proper protective equipment at all times
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to read grading plans, blueprints, and specifications
- Experience with grade checking using GPS, lasers, and cut sheets
- Working knowledge of hand tools and equipment used in commercial construction
- Understanding of production rates and quantity tracking
- Detail-oriented with a focus on efficiency and quality
