Flooring Install Manager / Superintendent – Penn State Project

CP Build is seeking a Flooring Install Manager / Superintendent to support a large-scale flooring project at Penn State University. This individual will serve as the on-site leader responsible for coordinating field operations, supporting subcontractors, maintaining quality standards, and helping ensure a successful project outcome.

This role is ideal for a construction professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys solving problems in the field, and is committed to delivering an exceptional client experience. The position requires significant time on-site at Penn State and may be filled by a local candidate or an out-of-state candidate willing to travel throughout the duration of the project. The travel model is designed around approximately 10 consecutive days on‑site followed by travel home every other weekend.

CP Build intends to support the selected candidate with housing and travel assistance to make the assignment practical and sustainable. Candidates may be located anywhere within the United States, provided they can meet the travel requirements of the role.

CP Build provides travel support designed to make long‑term project assignments practical and sustainable, including housing assistance near the project site, transportation support, and regular travel home throughout the assignment.

Our goal is to provide the flexibility needed for employees to maintain a healthy balance between project responsibilities and personal commitments while delivering the consistent on‑site leadership required for project success. The anticipated schedule includes approximately 10 consecutive days on‑site followed by travel home every other weekend, with flexibility based on project needs and milestones.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is an experienced flooring construction professional who can work independently, communicate effectively with project stakeholders, and proactively resolve issues before they impact schedule, quality, or budget. They are comfortable balancing process and accountability while maintaining strong relationships with subcontractors, customers, and internal teams.

Successful candidates will bring hands‑on field experience, strong organizational skills, a customer‑focused mindset, and the ability to lead from the front.
