As a Construction Services Technician, you will be part of a team delivering local and regional projects that directly benefit the communities we serve. This role offers hands‑on field experience, exposure to diverse projects, and the opportunity to grow your technical skills while working alongside experienced engineers and project managers.
You will serve as a key on‑site representative of the engineer, supporting construction activities and helping ensure projects are built in accordance with plans, specifications, and quality standards. This is an excellent opportunity for someone early in their career who enjoys being in the field and wants to build a strong foundation in construction services and inspection.
What You’ll Do- Serve as the engineer’s on‑site liaison, working closely with contractors, project managers, and clients
- Support construction inspection activities to verify work complies with plans, specifications, and approved shop drawings
- Attend and support pre‑construction meetings and job conferences, assisting with documentation and follow‑up
- Observe testing, start‑ups, and construction activities, documenting field conditions and progress
- Maintain organized project records including reports, correspondence, drawings, and daily logs
- Assist with payment applications, substantial completion inspections, and closeout documentation
- One to two years of experience in construction inspection, a construction services trainee role, or a related internship
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications
- Valid driver’s license and ability to work on active construction sites
- Safety training such as Work Zone Safety, OSHA 10‑Hour, or Confined Space training preferred
- NECEPT Field Technician Certification or equivalent preferred
- Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and willingness to learn
