Job Description and Position Requirements
The Mathematics Department seeks to hire undergraduate students to assist with grading assignments during the academic year. Applicants must be fulltime undergraduate students at Penn State and must remain enrolled full time for the duration of their employment.
A resume is not required for this position. However, all applicants must complete the secondary grader application form, which can be found at Grader Application Form
. In addition, applicants must submit their application in Workday using their Penn State email address. Applications submitted through Workday using a nonPSU email address will not be considered.
In this role, students will serve as graders and assist assigned instructors with grading course assignments.
QualificationsTo be eligible, applicants must have earned a B+ or higher in the course(s) they are assigned to grade and must have taken a mathematics course within the past two years.
Students who are hired will report directly to an assigned mathematics instructor, who is responsible for the day‑to‑day supervision and management of the grader role. You will only report to your direct program manager regarding the hiring process, assignments to instructors, and time management through Workday, including time approval.
