The School of Public Policy at The Pennsylvania State University invites applications for an Assistant Teaching Professor in public policy. The position is a full‑time, non‑tenure‑track member of the faculty participating in school governance. The start date for the position is fall, 2026.
Candidates must have earned a Ph.D. in public policy, public management, economics, political science, or a related field by the appointment start date.
Responsibilities- Teach courses in the undergraduate program and the Master of Public Policy program.
- Advise students and assist with assessment for accreditation.
- Teach introductory policy courses, policy analysis, leadership, or substantive policy courses at the undergraduate level as needed.
Onsite teaching is an essential function of this job. The teaching load during the academic year is typically six courses.
QualificationsCandidates with demonstrated teaching excellence in public policy, political science, or economics are preferred.
