Job Description
The State College Area School District is seeking energetic, collaborative, child‑centered individuals for Interventionist Paraprofessional positions within the Special Education Department. These district‑wide positions will be assigned during the interview process.
All applicants must hold Highly Qualified (HQ) status. HQ can be demonstrated by:
- A) At least 2 years of post‑secondary education (48 semester credit hours) documented by official transcripts
- B) An associate’s degree or higher documented by official transcripts
- C) A rigorous standard of quality as demonstrated through a state or local assessment (e.g., PDE/PaTTAN, Central Intermediate Unit‑10, PA State Education Association, or other approved agencies)
Applicants, including internal, must upload verification of HQ status. The district will support applicants in obtaining HQ status.

Starting Salary Range: $18.23 − $19.38 per hour, plus benefits.
