Job Description and Position Requirements
The Penn State School of Visual Arts (SoVA) seeks to hire part‑time art class models for the 2026‑2027 academic year. Models are scheduled for three‑hour nude figure drawing sessions throughout the semester as needed by the instructor. Each class is three hours long; you will hold poses from 20 minutes up to an hour. All models are hired as nude models, meaning you will be expected to be nude during the class, though clothed sessions are not currently scheduled.
There is a 10‑15 minute break partway through the course for rest, food, and restroom use.
Props and fabrics may be used to increase drawing difficulty, and poses remain modest, focusing on muscle structure rather than personal features. Students retain ownership of all drawings. The institution hires a diverse range of models to allow students to practice drawing a variety of bodies. On average, models sit for 4–6 sessions per semester, rotating among classes. Schedules are determined on a month‑to‑month basis.
