The State College Area School District is currently accepting applications for a Special Education Teaching Position.

The ability to establish relationships with students and collaborate with colleagues is critical to success in this position. The successful candidate must demonstrate a commitment to diversity and recognize that equity and inclusivity are foundational to ensuring every student has opportunities to grow, thrive and fulfill their potential through caring, responsive education.

The District seeks dynamic, energetic educators who are student‑focused and have knowledge of both theory and practice specific to the education of students with disabilities, particularly those on the Autism spectrum and with emotional and behavioral needs. Organizational and collaborative skills are critical to success in this position. The District is seeking candidates who demonstrate a commitment to professional growth and development and possess a variety of professional experiences.

Possession of or ability to obtain PA Special Education certification is required. Credentials will be reviewed beginning August 3, 2026.

• Citizenship, residency, or work visa required.
• PA Special Education certification (current or in process of obtaining).
• Experience working with students with intellectual, developmental, behavioral, or emotional disabilities, including Autism spectrum and emotionally disabled students.
