Preschool Classroom Assistant

CIU 10, a premiere educational service agency in Central Pennsylvania serving Centre, Clearfield, and Clinton Counties, is seeking a full-time Classroom Assistant for preschool students in a Centre County classroom. Experience with children is preferred.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Help children get on and off the bus during arrival and departure, as needed.
• Assist students with bathroom needs, lifting, dressing, and feeding.
• Prepare and operate instructional materials and equipment like Smartboards and iPads, as directed.
• Help students use teaching devices and equipment for individualized instruction.
• Oversee and interact with students during instructional activities, play, and emergency drills.
• Follow and implement IEPs and behavioral plans, assisting with behavioral management as needed.
• Complete at least 20 hours of staff development activities related to assignment each school year.
