Job Description and Position Requirements

A. Dutton Institute for Teaching and Learning Excellence at The Pennsylvania State University invites applications for part-time Teaching/Grading Assistant positions supporting online geospatial programs during the and academic years.
Successful candidates will support online geospatial courses offered through Penn State World Campus by assisting with grading assignments and providing timely, rubric-based feedback to students. Course topics may include geographic information systems (GIS), spatial data science, remote sensing, and geospatial programming.
Responsibilities- Evaluate student work in the learning management system.
- Apply established grading criteria consistently.
- Help ensure prompt feedback to support student engagement and success in a fully online learning environment.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow grading guidelines.
- Familiarity with geospatial concepts or related coursework.
- Experience with online learning platforms and geospatial tools preferred.
Employment with the University will require successful completion of background check(s) in accordance with University policies.
