Job DescriptionThe State College Area School District is currently accepting applications for Special Education Paraprofessionals at Mount Nittany Middle School.
All applicants must meet Highly Qualified (HQ) status. To be considered HQ, you meet one of the following criteria:
A) Have obtained at least 2 years postsecondary education - requires at least 48 semester credit hours documented by official college/university transcripts;
B) Possess an associates degree or higher documented by official college/university transcripts; or
C) Meet a rigorous standard of quality as demonstrated through a State or local assessment. SCASD will accept rigorous standards of quality as provided through programs offered by PDE/PaTTAN, Central Intermediate Unit-10, PA State Education Association, or other professional agencies who have developed paraprofessional programs that are deemed by the SCASD as acceptable and then documented with an official HQ certificate.
All applicants, including internal applicants, are to upload verification of their HQ status.
Grade B; 7 Hours/Day; 187 Days/Year
Starting Salary Range: $18.23 - $19.38 per hour, plus benefits.
