Landscape Architect (State College, PA)

ELA Group, Inc. (ELA) is seeking a full‑time Landscape Architect with a minimum of 3-5 years of experience to join our team in State College, PA
. While not a remote position, this in‑person role offers flexibility for work/life balance within a "informal" office culture. As a regional branch of ELA, we are a small team of professionals who work closely together to achieve exceptional project design solutions for our clients. This role has the potential for upward mobility and offers a possible path toward management/leadership.

General Responsibilities
  • Prepare planning documents including feasibility studies, construction documents, and subdivision/land development plans.
  • Produce project designs/calculations, plans, and permit applications and coordinate with reviewing agencies.
  • Conduct review and interpretation of ordinances and regulations.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Landscape Architecture, Civil Engineering, or related field of study.
  • Proficient with AutoCAD Civil 3D software.
  • Strong PC skills, i.e., Word, Excel, MS Outlook, virtual conferencing.
  • The ability to review, understand, and resolve complex design‑related issues.
  • Pennsylvania State, County, and Municipal level regulatory experience.
  • Understanding of, and experience with, the municipal land development and NPDES permitting process.
  • Experience with bidding and construction phase engineering consulting tasks.
  • Ability to manage time effectively; prioritize and handle multiple tasks and responsibilities.
  • Work in a team environment as well as independently.
  • Excellent written and oral skills.
