Manufacturing Engineer

Duration: 12 Months (can be extended upto 18 months.)

Qualifications:

Education And/Or Experience

• BS in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Electro-mechanical Engineering or Physics or equivalent experience required
• 0-2 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment required
• Prior Lean/Six Sigma/Root cause analysis experience is a plus
• Solid Works or equivalent 3D CAD knowledge and experience is required
• Machining experience and tolerancing skills are a plus
• Must be a result-oriented change agent who demonstrates an analytical approach to problem solving
• Exemplary interpersonal skills with an ability to communicate at all levels to maintain relationships and cooperation in pursuing individual goals
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and multiple tasks simultaneously
• Six Sigma Green Belt certified is a plus
• Experience with an ERP system such as Visual Manufacturing, a PLM system such as Omnify or Agile, and EPDM
• Working knowledge of documentation control procedures, bills of material, drawings and configuration management

Responsibilities:

• The purpose of this role is to help drive the company rebranding project through to completion for the transducer engineering department.
• Assist with stock sorts to identify parts for rework
• Complete engineering changes to update documentation to reflect the new branding.
• Coordinate rework activities with production or machine shop.
• Continuous improvement of products and processes to reduce manufacturing costs and increase as it relates to branding.
• Update mechanical drawings and tolerances as needed
