Job Overview
As part of the Branch Banking team, the Financial Center Banker will acquire an in‑depth knowledge of Northwest products and services and provide financial options to clients through a consultative approach while expanding the banking relationship.
Responsibilities- Meet or exceed performance targets related to customer satisfaction, product sales, and financial wellness conversations; continuously improve skills and knowledge through training and professional development opportunities.
- Conduct comprehensive financial assessments for customers to identify areas for improvement and opportunities for growth; analyze customer accounts, transactions, and behavior to offer personalized recommendations.
- Ensure compliance with all banking regulations, policies, and procedures and maintain operational accuracy and security in all activities.
- Proactively identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to enhance operational effectiveness.
- Deliver exceptional customer service experiences, address customer concerns promptly, and turn negative experiences into positive ones.
- Initiate proactive conversations with customers to build rapport and understand their financial objectives, using active listening skills to uncover opportunities.
- Build long‑term relationships with customers by providing ongoing support and follow‑up, anticipating needs and proactively offering assistance and guidance.
- Adhere to all bank policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements to ensure compliance and risk mitigation; protect customer information.
- Navigate Microsoft Office software, computer applications, and departmental software to maximize technology tools and gain efficiency.
- Work as part of a team, oversee on‑site equipment, and maintain adherence to security and dual‑control processes.
- Complete branch opening and closing tasks as needed and perform other duties and special projects requested by management.
- Establish effective working relationships among team members and participate in problem solving and decision making.
- Present and express ideas and information clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.
- Actively listen to others to achieve understanding, share information, and facilitate open exchange of ideas.
- Develop and use tracking systems for monitoring own work progress and effectively use resources such as time and information.
- Make sound decisions based on analytical processes and good judgment in gray areas.
- High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
- One year of banking and/or retail experience (preferred).
- Sales experience preferred.
- Customer service experience preferred.
