36 hours per week - Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,950–$2,060 per week
Job Requirements
- Graduation from an accredited Registered Nurse program
- Current Pennsylvania RN license (compact license not applicable unless PA‑recognized)
- Minimum 1 year of recent Labor & Delivery nursing experience (intrapartum/postpartum/perinatal)
- EPIC electronic health record (EHR) experience required — support Meditech to EPIC transition (Go Live: 5/30)
- BLS (Basic Life Support) — American Heart Association
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification
- Strong communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills for collaborative OB/GYN and perinatal care
- Ability to demonstrate professionalism, sound clinical judgment, and emotional resilience in a fast‑paced L&D environment
- Provide assessment and individualized nursing care for childbearing women (adolescence to middle adulthood), neonates, and families throughout intrapartum and postpartum phases
- Perform initial assessment and stabilization of neonates, including neonatal resuscitation per NRP guidelines
- Develop and implement individualized plans of care and patient education for self‑care and newborn care
- Monitor maternal and fetal status, recognize complications, and initiate appropriate interventions in collaboration with OB/GYN and neonatal teams
- Identify and intervene with vulnerable patients and families to prevent potential health problems and promote positive outcomes
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams — physicians, midwives, lactation consultants, social work, and case management — to coordinate comprehensive perinatal care and referrals
- Promote a safe, supportive environment for patients, families, and staff; adhere to infection control and patient safety protocols
- Maintain current clinical skills and continuing education in women's health, obstetrics, and neonatal care
- Support colleagues during the transition from Meditech to EPIC by providing guidance, troubleshooting, and hands‑on training as needed
- Document accurately and timely in the EPIC EHR to ensure continuity of care and regulatory compliance
