The FOH Manager owns the guest experience and leads all front-of-house operations, ensuring every event is welcoming, safe, organized, and professionally executed.

The State Theatre

For nearly 20 years, The State Theatre has been Centre County’s home for live music and film, presenting national touring artists, local performers, and a diverse mix of mainstream, independent, and classic films.

Leadership & Team Management
  • Lead, coach, supervise, hire, onboard, train, and evaluate Event Leads and Front of House staff.
  • Create schedules, maintain staffing levels, build a culture of hospitality, accountability, and teamwork.
Front of House Operations
  • Lead every aspect of the guest experience before, during, and after every event.
  • Ensure all FOH and guest-facing spaces are clean, safe, properly lit, welcoming, accessible, and presentation‑ready.
  • Maintain a visible leadership presence with staff and guests while resolving operational issues.
  • Collaborate with Box Office, Production, Marketing, and Rentals to deliver seamless event s.
Business Operations
  • Develop, maintain, and improve Front of House systems and operational standards.
  • Oversee bar and concessions operations, including inventory management, ordering, and operational readiness.
  • Build relationships with vendors and distributors.
  • Curate concession and beverage offerings that enhance the overall event experience and support revenue.
Qualifications
  • Venue experience preferred but not required.
  • Two or more years of leadership experience in hospitality, live events, or similar operations.
  • Strong leadership, communication, organization, and conflict‑resolution skills.
  • Ability to work admin hours and many events as scheduled, including evenings and weekends.
  • Frequent standing and walking; occasional lifting up to 50 pounds.

Compensation

Starting salary: $42,000 annually with higher compensation considered based on experience.
