Position Overview

Shaner Hotels offers a position at State College Towne Place Suites by Marriott, an 89‑room all‑suite hotel located near the State College Regional Airport and Nittany Valley Sports Centre. The role involves maintaining high standards of cleanliness and guest satisfaction in this modern extended‑stay environment.

• Work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, and varied shifts.
• Handle guest complaints ensuring guest satisfaction.
• Maintain standards of quality and cleanliness throughout daily assignments.
• Observe all house and safety rules, housekeeping procedures, and security procedures.
• Clean and service assigned public spaces according to franchise and hotel standards.
• Return and restock cart at end of shift.
• Complete additional deep cleaning/seasonal cleaning functions as scheduled.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Clean hotel public areas assigned, ensuring the hotel’s established standards of cleanliness.
• Report any maintenance deficiencies and handle guest requests or complaints.
• Ensure the confidentiality and security of all guest rooms.

• Minimum one year cleaning experience; previous hotel experience preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively with guests, management, and co‑workers.
• Knowledge of proper chemical handling.
• Bilingual English/Spanish a plus.
