The Opportunity

We seek a Senior Data Scientist - Product Lead . This pivotal role is for a leader passionate about applying data science to build and refine tangible products in real-world physical systems.

You'll drive the data strategy for our product development, transforming field data into actionable insights that shape our service. You'll have a significant analytical voice driving product decisions , sharing findings with executives, engineering, and partners.

What You'll Do :

Lead Data Products Roadmap :
Drive product evolution, identifying new features and optimizations from field data.

Data-Driven Development :
Design methodologies for collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data to inform product features and validate performance.

Advanced Analysis :
Oversee data collection, cleaning, and advanced analysis. Apply statistical modeling and ML to extract insights, predict outcomes, and optimize our service.

Influence & Communicate :
Present complex findings to stakeholders. Champion data-informed decision-making.

System Optimization :
Collaborate on hardware and engineering to optimize data capture and quality.

Methodology & Leadership:
Establish best practices for data science in product development.

What We're Looking For:

Education:

Master's in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Engineering, Physics, Environmental Science, or a related quantitative field with strong math/statistics core training. PhD preferred.

Experience:

5+ years in data science, with significant experience driving product d evelopment through data. Proven leadership.

Technical Mastery:
Expert Python (Pandas, Scikit-learn, Matplotlib). Deep expertise in statistical modeling, ML, deep-learning, and experimental design for product validation. Experience with IoT/sensor network and time-series data. Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) a plus. Advanced understanding of database systems. Familiarity with source control (Git, SVN).

Leadership & Acumen:
Proven ability to define product problems, develop analytical solutions, and translate into product strategies.

Collaboration:

Lead cross-functional collaboration.

Proactive & Adaptable:
Thrives with ownership in a dynamic startup; eager to learn new domains.

Bonus Points:

Experience in industries like environmental monitoring, smart infrastructure, or manufacturing with field hardware/data.

Familiarity with agriculture or interest in Ag-Tech.
