Centre Area Transportation Authority (CATA) – State College, PA

As a Facilities Person at CATA, you will support a team dedicated to providing excellent service to staff and customers. The position requires flexibility, strong work ethic, and the ability to perform a variety of physical, work‑related tasks.

• Clean and disinfect restrooms on a regular basis.
• Dust and wipe clean tables, desks, baseboards, light fixtures, HVAC vents, and other surfaces.
• Inspect and replenish paper towel, tissue, and soap dispensers.
• Sweep and damp mop vinyl composition tile and other hard floor surfaces.
• Vacuum carpeted floors and entry mats, including offices, hallways, and communal spaces.
• Maintain building grounds, including weeding, mulching, trimming, mowing, snow removal, and trash pickup.
• Perform periodic inspections and preventative maintenance on facility systems such as interior and exterior lighting, electrical, plumbing, gas detection, lubrication, and other related equipment.

• Ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds, with periodic loads up to 80 pounds. Must be able to bend, kneel, crouch, reach, or climb ladders.
• Good organizational skills and ability to work with a diverse team.

Year One: $21.85 per hour, Year Two: $23.13 per hour, After Year Two: $25.71 per hour.
