Harris is looking for an Assembler to join our team. This person will contribute to the company’s success by performing a wide variety of mechanical or electro‑mechanical assembly operations on mechanical/electrical assemblies, sub‑assemblies, or end products.

• Performs a variety of mechanical or electro‑mechanical assembly operations on mechanical/electrical assemblies, sub‑assemblies, or end products
• Able to follow verbal and written instruction maintaining a focus on quality
• Follows an engineering assembly process, but may require the ability to adjust, fit, or align parts
• Uses hand tools such as long nose pliers, screwdrivers, soldering irons, and wrenches
• Maintains consistent quality and productivity levels
• Uses Microsoft Office programs
• Maintains neat and clean work area
• Identifies problems and contributes to process improvements
• Performs some hand soldering on electronic assemblies
• Willingness to learn and work in a fast‑paced, flexible production state‑of‑the‑art environment
• Works as part of a team and collaborates to accomplish tasks
• Traverses across the production floor for the duration of their shift
• Able to transport up to 30 lbs
• Ability to obtain a secret clearance which requires US citizenship
• Able to read and interpret mechanical/electrical drawings and Bills of Material

• Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 6 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post‑secondary/associate’s degree with a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience.

• Electrical background at the component level.
• Capable of identifying problems and contributing to process improvements through the L3
  
  Harris E3 continuous improvement process.
• J‑STD‑001, IPC‑610.
• Mechanical or electrical assembly experience to include soldering.
