In collaboration with the physician, the candidate provides care to new or established patients, demonstrates autonomy through patient evaluation, assessment, diagnosis, treatment and follow‑up care, orders testing as deemed necessary, interprets results, prescribes appropriate medication and therapeutic regimens within the scope of practice, and may perform triage, telephone communication and patient education in cooperation with nursing and other department staff.

• Provide patient care across the full continuum from evaluation to follow‑up.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests and prescribe medications and therapeutic regimens.
• Perform triage, telephone communication, and patient education.
• Collaborate with nursing, physicians and other staff to deliver coordinated care.

• Current Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner license or certification.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Physician Assistant (required), Master’s Degree preferred.
• Basic Life Support certification.
• Certified Nurse Practitioner (American Academy of Nurse Practitioners). Licensed Registered Nurse – State of Pennsylvania (if required).
