As a Registered Nurse in the OR, you will provide professional nursing care to patients following established standards, practices, and healthcare techniques. You will demonstrate competence in making professional judgments pertaining to patient care and assist providers in patient care and education.

Your role will involve actively participating as a member of the healthcare team to engage patients, families, and caregivers in the coordination of patient care.

• Rooming patients and triaging new patients
• Gathering necessary reports from outside sources
• Triaging pre and post-op patients over the phone
• Providing wound support, suture removal, and dressing changes
• Completing FMLA, disability, and other paperwork for patients
• Assisting in procedures in the office
• Supporting the front desk with clinically related issues

Requirements:

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• Pennsylvania Registered Nurse license
• Meets the American Heart Association's standards for Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) and renews BLS every two years
• Need 1 year experience in setting
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively
• Knowledge of practical nursing principles and skills
• Ability to react calmly and effectively during emergency situations
• Physical ability to handle and lift patients and equipment
